It is our goal at Kingsway Christian Preschool to partner with families to help shepherd the hearts of children, ages 3 - 5, in a high quality program for learning and nurturing in a Christ-centered environment. Our program is designed to create positive, developmentally appropriate experiences while nurturing healthy relationships by employing a loving, well-qualified staff and maintaining an inviting, well-equipped facility that fosters productive and meaningful parent involvement.
Qualifications for Preschool Teacher
It is preferred that teachers hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education. Otherwise, a Bachelor’s degree in another field and experience directly related to child development, early education, or children’s ministry are preferred.
All teachers must have a genuine faith in Jesus and be an active member of an evangelical church.
Teachers must understand and agree with the philosophy and goals of Kingsway Christian School.
Teachers must be CPR certified and complete safety and emotional health training.
It must be clear in the teacher’s demeanor, attitude, and language that they are Christ-followers, mature decision-makers, sensitive to the needs of children and families, and able to relate well to both children and adults.
-Oversee classes (Preschool-8th) for teachers who are absent
-Requirements: Indiana Substitute license (available at the IDOE Website) and 48 college credit hours
-Compensation: $85 for full day or $50 for half-day
-Before/After School Care
We are looking for a few more people to help us in our ministry of providing care to KCS student in the hours before and after school. We have the opportunity to provide a safe and active place for our students, complete with a variety of fun activities while they wait. This part time and flexible position ranges from 10-20 hours and 2-5 days a week. Eligible applicants may qualify for a tuition grant based on hours worked.
