A Christian education is expensive…..however, it’s also an immensely important investment.
A Kingsway student’s journey with us ends in 8th grade. But that is usually NOT the end of their Christian education career. Every year, many of our 8th graders enroll at Covenant Christian High School. And even though our time with those students ends in May of their 8th grade year, it’s our responsibility to ensure that we have prepared those students for high school—academically, socially, and spiritually.
Rilla Trout was a teacher at Kingsway many years ago. She had a HUGE heart for Christian education. After her death, a scholarship was set up in her name that would help to fund an 8th grader’s tuition at a Christian high school.
This spring, the Rilla Trout Memorial Scholarship will be awarded for its fifteenth year to an eighth grade graduate of Kingsway Christian School. Any KCS eighth grader who will be attending a Christian high school may apply.
All of the proceeds of our ice cream sales at lunches on Fridays go towards this scholarship. However, we are still in need of contributions for this year’s scholarship recipient. The scholarship will be mailed to the student’s Christian high school and credited toward their tuition. Please prayerfully consider a donation to this cause. If willing, make checks payable to Kingsway Christian School with a memo specifying “Rilla Trout Memorial Scholarship”.
