Spring Extension Clubs

Kyle Wilcox

Title: Minecraft Club

Age: 3rd - 8th grade

Location: Computer Lab 2 D215

Time: Thursdays from 3:15 - 4:15

Cost: 105.00

Description: Students will be able to use their Minecraft Education accounts to explore a wonderful world of block building, mining, and crafting. Students can choose to play together with friends or build something amazing on their own. This class will run for 10 weeks.

Title: Art under the Sea

Age: K-4th grade

Location: Art Room

Time: Thursdays from 3:15-4:15an                                    

Cost: $100.00

Description:    Art Under the Sea! Students will be using various media to create under water themes such as a fish kite and clay wind chime. We will also use collage to make an optical illusion paper and ocean waves. Please note that if you signed up for this class first semester, you are not permitted to repeat the club. This will leave more space for other students to try out their artistic talents! Thank you for understanding.

Description: Hola Familias! I will be offering Spanish as a continuation of the class I am currently teaching.  New students are limited but welcome!  We will be learning basics such as colors, numbers, and simple phrases through music, play, games, and projects.  This class is open to PK4 and Kindergarten students on Wednesdays after school! This class will be for 8 weeks.

Title: Crouching Tigers-Cubs

Age: Preschool-Kindergarten

Time: Tuesdays from 3:15-3:45

Description: Crouching Tigers is back this spring with a brand new unit of Crouching Tigers. The Family Skills Unit in Crouching Tigers provides great tools for students to use when interacting with their families. Respect for parents and grandparents is a large portion of this unit along with handling sibling conflict in a calm manner. Students will learn new self-defense techniques and hear all about the adventures of our seven tigers. The unit will end in May with a promotion ceremony. You’re invited to join us as we break more boards and earn a new rank! 

This club will run 12 weeks, Club will start on 2/4 and Ends 5/5/20

Title: Sweet P’s Cooking Class

Description: Have always wanted to learn how to bake?  Come to Sweet P’s cooking class and learn all kinds of techniques and fun recipes that you can make with your family. You will be so happy you joined such a fun and yummy class!

This class will run for 7 weeks.

Title: Indianapolis Children’s Choir

Age: 3rd-8th grades

Description: Come be a part of the Indianapolis Children’s Neighborhood Choir! The ICC is offering an 8-week introductory choir program at Kingsway. Come join the fun with us and sing your heart out. You will even be part of the May 9th concert at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. This class will run from 3/19-5/14/20. This club fee includes a t-shirt, participation in an awesome concert and a ticket for your parents to come out and see you shine!

Title: Avon Aerial Orioles Jump Rope Team

Age: 1st-8th grade

Description: The Avon Aerial Oriole Jump Rope Team are coming to Kingsway for some jump rope fun. They will teach students the techniques and trips of jumping rope. This will be a fun filled energy packed great time. Each student will receive a jump rope and will get to perform for parents at the end of the session. I think you will love this new club.
