Teacher Aides is an opportunity for students in sixth, seventh and eighth grade to assist teachers through the school in various ways. This service cultivates leadership skills, as well as, builds student and teacher rapport.
Students may serve as Teacher Aides one day each week in their assigned classes. This takes the place of one of their study hall periods. Whether they are working with a younger student or cutting out craft materials for the teachers, these students are learning that serving others is a blessing!
"I don't know what I would do without my Teacher Aides! I usually have two to three aides per day in the Media Center. They do everything from checking out books to shelving books to decorating and even preparing food for our Family Reading Nights. They are true servants in every sense of the word." -Mrs. Shields, KCS School Media Specialist
