4th Grade

Academics-4th Grade - 4th GradeFourth grade is the year that students begin making the transition from elementary to intermediate school. At this age our students are beginning to become more independent learners. Research becomes a key component of the fourth grade curriculum. Our students participate in many unique and exciting learning opportunities such as:

  • A scientific research project for the school’s Science Fair.
  • As part of a year long study of Indiana we travel to downtown Indianapolis to experience our GREAT state as "tourists".
  •  In the spring, we jump in a time capsule (the KCS bus) and are transported back in time to 1892 to experience a typical school day. During our visit we are taught by a local school marm who teaches us to cipher, practice our penmanship on a chalkboard and participate in an elocution contest.
