Have you ever watched a butterfly emerge from its chrysalis? In second grade, as our students watch their caterpillars transform into beautiful butterflies, their teachers also see the transformation going on in the hearts and minds of their students. The classes begin to emerge from their experiences as young learners and put their knowledge into practice as more advanced learners by:
- Broadening their reading skills as they begin our Foundations & Frameworks reading program.
- Learning why our past is important to our future through units on Native Americans and pioneers.
- Recreating the past and applying those lessons learned to their own lives as they learn how God has a plan for each of us.
- Experimenting with nature at Eagle Creek Park
